Let’s start our tour with a walk around the Port of Hamburg, which is one of the largest and busiest ports in Europe. We can see many interesting sights, such as the famous Köhlbrand Bridge, where you can take amazing photos, and visit the Miniatur Wunderland museum, where you can see miniature models of cities and railways.
Next, we will head to the Old Town (Altstadt), which is famous for its medieval architectural style and cozy streets. Here we can see the Hamburg City Hall (Rathaus) and St. Peter’s Church (St. Petri), which are symbols of the city.
Altstadt is one of the most picturesque areas of Hamburg, with its narrow alleys, charming houses, and historic landmarks. The Hamburg City Hall, or Rathaus, is an impressive neo-Renaissance building that dates back to the late 19th century. It features a grandiose façade, intricate decoration, and a beautiful courtyard. St. Peter’s Church, on the other hand, is one of the oldest and most important churches in the city, with a history dating back to the 12th century. It is known for its impressive Gothic architecture, towering spire, and stunning stained-glass windows. Together, these landmarks provide a glimpse into the rich history and culture of Hamburg.
Then we will visit the Jacobi Platz square, where one of the most famous Hamburg markets is located — the Rathausmarkt. Here you can buy fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers, and souvenirs.
It’s time for a snack and to try the local cuisine. We can go to one of the local restaurants and try dishes made from seafood, such as fried squid, shrimp in garlic sauce, and tuna toast. We can also try hamburgers, which, as you know, were named after this city.
After we have a good meal, we can go to the Planten-un-Blomen Park, which is one of the most beautiful parks in the city. Here we can walk along the picturesque paths and admire the blooming gardens and fountains.
Next, we can visit the Hamburg Museum of Fine Arts (Kunsthalle Hamburg), where we can see a collection of artworks ranging from the Middle Ages to the present day.
We’ll finish our tour by heading to the nearby neighborhood of St. Pauli, which is known for its nightlife. Here, we can visit bars, clubs, and concert venues to fully immerse ourselves in the city’s atmosphere.
